MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGING DIRECTOR: IPS Queensland Relief

Dear Valued Employee,

 As you would no doubt be aware significant flooding occurred in many areas of Queensland during late December 2010 and early January 2011, with three quarters of the state declared a disaster zone. Communities have been devastated and some families have lost everything, including their lives. It is estimated the cost of repair will be in the vicinity of $5b-$6b.

 We are all Australians and no matter where we live we cannot let those who have suffered such devastation stand alone. IPS believes we can assist as a Group and is sponsoring a small crew to send up to the affected areas in QLD to aid with the recent flood disaster. We have a specialised team that the SES requires to assist with the electrical disconnection/reconnection of high voltage. The hire equipment is being supplied courtesy of friends at Coates Hire. Additionally, specialised all terrain vehicles have been provided by our partners at Europcar.

 The specialised team representing each and every one of us at IPS have advanced first aid training, mining experience life saving training. They have all the necessary skill set to really make a difference to our fellow countryman.

 At this stage IPS has committed to support the SES with until March 2011.

New Business – ACPE Head Office, Library & Education Facilities Building Works
